Lex Palestina Alliance

Building the first global legal network for coordinated justice in Palestine. A shared space where law becomes a common language, connecting truth, accountability, and legal practitioners working for a just future.

Who we are

Lex Palestina Alliance (LPA) is an emerging international coalition of legal professionals committed to strengthening justice for the Palestinian people.

The Lex Palestina Alliance is being established as a non-profit association under Swiss law, headquartered in Geneva

Our goal is clear: connect, coordinate, and elevate the work already carried out by lawyers, jurists, scholars, and organizations worldwide — with a shared structure and sustainable methodology.

Our Vision

We aim to build a united and operational international legal alliance capable of supporting and coordinating legal initiatives for Palestine.

LPA seeks to become a global reference for legal cooperation — a space where law meets truth, accountability, and human dignity.

Our ambition includes creating a lasting legal infrastructure grounded in shared standards and a secure body of knowledge for current and future generations.

Our Mission

To turn this vision into action, LPA works to

Federate legal actors within a shared framework
Structure cooperation through common tools and standards
Coordinate strategic litigation across jurisdictions
Link victims, families, and NGOs with qualified experts
Provide clear, multilingual legal information

Join the Alliance

Across the world, legal professionals work tirelessly for Palestine, often in isolated or fragmented efforts.

LPA creates a shared space where expertise converges, strategies align, and individual work gains collective strength.

And, above all, we are a long-term infrastructure: a methodology, standards, and a secure knowledge base that futur generation can reply on to continue the pursuit of justice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Joining Lex Palestina Alliance means becoming part of a collective structure designed to strengthen the impact of legal initiatives related to Palestine.
 LPA offers:

  • an international network of lawyers, jurists, researchers, legal clinics, and NGOs;
  • coordination framework that connects efforts carried out in different jurisdictions;
  • access to the first shared methodologies, standards, and tools developed by the working groups;
  • direct participation in building the secure legal hub (jurisprudence, procedural resources, templates, jurisdiction sheets, verified contacts, verified documentation and evidence, victim access).

No.
Joining the Founding Circle is entirely free.
No membership fee, costs, or financial contribution is required to join the Alliance.

happypot is available for those who wish to voluntarily support the development of the Alliance’s tools (organisation, website, database, legal hub, coordination).
This contribution is optional and has no impact on membership status.

If a paid membership is ever considered in the future, it will only be decided collectively and transparently.

Yes.
LPA does not seek to replace existing structures.
Its role is to connectharmonise, and strengthen the work already carried out by lawyers, NGOs, coalitions, and jurist groups around the world.

Each network keeps its own identity; LPA acts as a federative platform to reinforce coherence and impact.

The Founding Circle is open to professionals active in legal or related fields:
lawyers, jurists, magistrates, professors, researchers, doctoral candidates, advanced students, legal clinics, NGOs, documentation specialists, or legal communication experts.

The key criteria are professional relevance and a willingness to contribute to building a shared structure.

Because existing legal efforts are often fragmentedisolated, or invisible to one another.

An international alliance makes it possible to:

  • harmonise certain methodologies,
  • avoid duplication,
  • strengthen cases across multiple jurisdictions,
  • develop more coherent strategies,
  • and build a structured collective legal memory.

All information collected is used exclusively for internal coordination.
It is never published or shared without consent and will be integrated into the future secure legal hub, whose access will be strictly limited to authorised members.

Confidentiality and data protection are absolute priorities.

Yes.
LPA offers several levels of involvement:

  • receiving essential updates,
  • participating occasionally in certain activities,
  • or fully engaging in governance or a working group.

However, it is important to note that working groups will carry a significant workload, as they will develop the standards, methodologies, resources, and tools that will structure the Alliance.
Joining a working group therefore requires a real commitment, although the pace may vary depending on responsibilities.

No.
During registration, you choose whether your name appears publicly as a founding member.
Confidentiality is fully respected for those who prefer to remain discreet.

The hub is currently in development.
 Founding members will help define:

  • priorities,
  • architecture,
  • working standards,
  • and the first resources.

Implementation will be progressive to ensure a solid, reliable, and secure tool.

No.
LPA is not a law firm and does not file complaints on its own behalf.

It acts as:

  • a coordination space,
  • a methodological platform,
  • a bridge between victims, families, NGOs, and qualified practitioners in each jurisdiction.

Legal actions remain the responsibility of qualified professionals (lawyers, jurists, and NGOs).

LPA is based on a collegial governance model structured around:

  • Steering Committee, responsible for strategic orientations;
  • an operational support team, in charge of organisation, administration, the website, and the legal hub;
  • thematic working groups, which develop legal standards and tools.

This structure ensures coherence, efficiency, and independence.

A first international meeting — online or in Geneva — will bring together all founding members to present the Alliance’s vision, priorities, and overall structure.
This meeting will help share the working framework and identify the needs of the thematic groups.

Simultaneously, the coordination team will review the registered profiles to identify individuals whose expertise, experience, or availability matches the responsibilities required at this stage.
These individuals will be invited to a smaller strategic meeting, during which the first Steering Committee will be formed.

This committee will be responsible for:

  • defining initial orientations,
  • structuring the working groups,
  • validating the first standards,
  • supporting the implementation of the secure hub.

This hybrid approach ensures rigourparticipation, and representativeness, while enabling an efficient start.

A secure mechanism for receiving and transferring mandates is being developed in collaboration with trusted partners.

This system will ensure:

  • data protection,
  • secure communication,
  • referral to qualified and competent jurists in the relevant jurisdictions.

LPA acts as a coordination interface, not as a legal representative.

Yes, if your expertise is relevant.
In addition to legal profiles, LPA may include specialists in:

  • documentation,
  • research,
  • translation,
  • legal communication,
  • data analysis or structuring useful to legal work.

Each profile is evaluated according to its potential contribution to the collective project.

Lex Palestina Alliance operates as a collaborative professional network. Participation does not establish any attorney, client relationship or legal representation, unless expressly agreed in writing.
